Help! My Spouse Won’t Talk to Me

Keeping minimal contact with the other party is not always a bad thing during the litigation. Some attorneys may say not to talk to the other spouse at all during the litigation. You may find that difficult and want to discuss issues with your spouse that you feel need to be addressed quickly. If you want to communicate, consider topics that allow your conversations to remain civil and about issues that you’re open to discussing. Accusations and insults are not conducive to opening up discussions with your spouse. If you find that your spouse will not speak with you or that you cannot speak with your spouse, your attorney can be the conduit for you to assist with your responses that are to the point, effective, and provide for an agreement or response from the other party. There are options to keep the lines of communication open and experienced family law can help assist you.
